Rock and Roll Marathon and Half Marathon
In June, athletes from around the state come to San Diego to take part in the Rock and Roll Marathon and Half Marathon. Thousands of runners participate each year in front of even more supporters cheering them on and rocking out from the sidelines.

Comic Con
The city's Comic Con is the world's largest pop culture and comic book convention in the world. What began as a modest collectors convention has grown over the years to become an attraction for big Hollywood producers and the hottest celebrities. Panel discussions featuring top stars are common, and in-depth discussions with animators, producers and directors give fans and amateurs an inside look at their favorite television shows, movies and comic books. Signings, screenings and performances keep the convention new and exciting each year.
